Katie

Katie is the owner of Astoria Hudson and began her dream of floral designing in 2018. She has worked alongside NY based floral designers where she learned the art of floral design and the science behind color and style. Creating a modern spin on a timeless tradition is what drives Katie in her floral and décor venture.

Katie grew up in Astoria, Queens. She worked for a dermatologist on the Upper East side for 15 years and later transitioned to plastic surgery and dermatology. Florals have always been an interest of hers as her mother always had fresh flowers in the house. When given the opportunity to explore this interest, both love and talent developed for this industry.

Katie is a mother of three beautiful girls Jasmine, Bianca, and Julene. She loves spending time with her family and enjoys creating floral arrangements for both family and friends. Spending time at the beach and hiking are two of her favorite past times.

Julene

Julene is Katie's youngest daughter and co-owner of Astoria Hudson. She has been working in the floral design and event industry for three years. As a recent college graduate, she has been preparing to start a business of her own since 2018. Teaming up with her mom, who shares the love of floral design, was an idea that could not be ignored.

She grew up in Riverdale, NY. Event-planning has always been a focus of hers. Floral design came into place in her late teenage years as she interned and later worked for fellow NY floral designers and event planners.

Beach days and fall fashion are two of her favorite things. Her downtime consists of yoga, thrifting, and drinking smoothies. Spending time outdoors is an essential part of her day.
